The Maldives National Team Training Stint in Malaysia came to an end with the players all set for their action in Dhaka, Bangladesh for the South Asia Games. Under the guidance of BAC Coach, Mr. Choong Kee Cheong, the team went through training and competition from 13^th January to 25^th January 2010 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

            The Stint was a joint effort between the Badminton Association of Maldives, Maldives National Olympic Committee, Badminton Asia Confederation and the Malaysian National Olympic Committee.

Badminton Asia Confederation development officer, Mr. M. Jivananthan Nair said “the joint effort for the succession of this stint is a role model for other member association to create similar opportunities for their national association. We encourage others to follow suit in working with us to organise development programs in their country and region overall”.
