Players Development Program (PDP)

The scope of Badminton Asia Confederation for Player Development in 2011 is divided into 2 divisions of juniors and seniors.

The junior channel consists of 2 age category:

  • Under 13 Players (born 1998 or after)
  • Under 16 Players (born 1995 or after)

Under 13
4 Regional Training Camps will be organized in 2011 for players of this age group. Potential players will be selected under the Junior Talent Team (JTT) project. The JTT functions as the feeder to a more concrete Under 16 field.

Under 16
4 Regional Training Camps will be organized in 2011 for players of this age group. Potential players will be selected for the under 19 ADT Squad. The Under 19 Asia Development Team (ADT) Squad is a high performance model that prepares player for 2016 Olympic Games.

Seniors
This program is catered for National Team Players ideally above 19 years old. This program works on flexible intakes throughout the year in the selected BAC Accredited Training Centre. The centre will serve as the preparation base for Asia Development Team (ADT) players for major events.
